Come out for a relaxing afternoon with old friends and new acquaintances. As you wander the lovely ballroom, you will enjoy music and entertainment, bid on limited, exquisite silent auction selections and admire unique, thematic centerpieces. Presenting sponsor, Brighton Collectibles, Valencia Town Center will display Brighton’s Limited Edition “Power of Pink” bracelet, available for order. A portion of the proceeds from bracelet sales, both at the tea and at their Westfield Valencia Town Center store, will benefit Circle of Hope.
Once seated at your decorated “tea table,” you will spend the afternoon with good company and be treated to traditional tea savories, including scones, muffins and delicious tea sandwiches provided by Hyatt Regency Valencia and our generous dessert donors. Each tea table has a different motif that corresponds with our theme, “Celebrating 15 Years of Hope.” Seats are limited.
Proceeds from this event will go to further Circle of Hope’s mission of providing emotional, financial and educational support to those diagnosed with cancer in the Santa Clarita Valley. We are dedicated to our community, serving patients and families since 2004.
100% of donations and proceeds remain in the SCV!
Melanie Meyer has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for the past 29 years. Melanie, and her husband Jeff, are active members of the volunteer community within Santa Clarita and beyond. They have built homes with Habitat for Humanity not only right here in the Santa Clarita Valley but in El Salvador, Macedonia, and Thailand. Moreover, Melanie and Jeff have made a big impact on Circle of Hope and our clients by raising funds needed to repair damaged ceiling tiles in our office and wellness center.
Last fall, Melanie was planning on traveling to Cambodia to again build homes for those in need. Those plans were put on hold when Melanie was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Instead of building homes for others, she used the same focus needed to build homes and instead turned it on fighting cancer. Her stubborn determination allowed her to focus on the reality of her cancer being very treatable and very curable.
Melanie, and her husband Jeff, also own a financial planning practice in the Santa Clarita Valley with Thrivent Financial where they focus on helping individuals, families, small business owners and non-profits make wise decisions with money and live generous lives. Their holistic financial planning practice is built around a commitment to clients’ goals with a focus on investment and insurance planning and estate strategies.
We are thrilled to have Melanie as this year’s keynote speaker!
