By now, if you’re in our modest sphere of influence, you’ve heard about our plans to open a wellness center for Santa Clarita’s cancer patients. A long-term dream of ours, Hope’s Haven Cancer Wellness Center will offer classes, workshops and integrative therapies to those with cancer, those transitioning into survivorship, those looking to adapt to their “new normal.” All services and programs will be without charge to qualifying patrons and their families. But when?
Once word hit, we started getting calls and emails about when the doors would be open. To these we respond, “soon.” Patience is the watchword. As you might guess, there is a lot involved as we seek individuals with passion and capacity to serve our clients; budget for monthly programs and services; procure equipment and facilities enhancements to provide the best possible experiences. Management, staffing and bookkeeping. You get it.
All the while, Circle of Hope continues to provide financial and support services to its ongoing clients. Having just moved to a bigger, brighter, more diverse space, we are still unpacking and filling out change-of address cards.
Doors will be open … soon. Within 45 days. Until then, watch our website and our Facebook pages for news of our Grand Opening celebration and open registration.
Circle of Hope would like to thank Logix Federal Credit Union, Taylor Kellstrom Real Estate, B & B Manufacturing, Staples and the City of Santa Clarita; Chris Schantz, Holly Feneht, Janice Murray, Jill & Ron Bondy and the Ripling Family. Your donations are helping to make a dream come true for many.
